Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer and animal rights activist. Her movies include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. She was noticed in her two first films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw became a global superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. In just three films, MacGraw was named the top female box-office start worldwide. At Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she was able to have her signature and hand-footprints engraved. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv show The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
