April Bowlby was born in the United States. She is both an actress as well as a model. She has portrayed Kandi as part of The CBS comedy Two and a Half Men, Stacy Barrett in Drop Dead Diva as well as Rita Farr in Titans and Doom Patrol. April Michelle Bowlby has a long history in American acting. The most memorable roles include Stacy Barrett, in Drop Dead Diva (a romantic comedy that is a fantasy TV show) as well as Kandi as portrayed on Two and a Half Men. Her modeling career started with modeling, and then she moved into TV and films. The first time she appeared was on a small screen, as an extra for the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. This was followed by appearances on one-off episodes on other shows. After a few years her most memorable performance as Kandi was a part of Two and a Half Men. Bowlby's character as Stacy Barrett on the series Drop Dead Diva earned her international recognition. Bowlby played Rita Farr/Elastigirl who was a regular on the American series Titans. The spin-off series Doom Patrol will see her reprise her role as the character. Bowlby was also in TV film Sands of Oblivion & The Wrong Daughter. Her first big screen appearance was in All Roads Lead Home. Then she appeared in movies like The Slammin Salmon, and From Prada To Nada. April Michelle Bowlby is an American actress, best recognized for her role as a regular in her role on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. Bowlby was a student at East Union High School in Manteca the state of California. She moved there as a young child. Her first studies were French and ballet at Moorpark College. Then she decided to pursue acting. She studied with Ivana Chaubbuck, and was offered a part in a television show (Kandi, Two and a Half Men) just a few months after she had her Hollywood audition. Bowlby's TV roles include CSI in which she played Kaitlin rackish in the year 2004 CSI: NY, where she was Jenny Lee in 5, Freddie: Sydney as Sydney in 5 as well as How I Met Your Mother: Meg. More recently Bowlby was cast in the role as Natasha on All Roads Lead Home a film from 2007 about a twelve year old girl that loses her mother in an automobile collision. Bowlby has been cast in the upcoming 2008 comedy movie The Slammin Salmon as Mia. She lives with her family in Los Angeles. Naturally red-haired, she has blue eyes. She was never married, and has no children.
