Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - a Canadian and American singer/songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk and alternative rock but includes influences from punk funk hip beat and jazz. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement and is among the first musicians to launch her own record label in 1990. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced in The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian origin and her mother came originally from Montreal. Her song 32 Flavors was composed by her and is performed by Ani.
